Welcome To The Tennis Section
Linlithgow Tennis Club
Tennis is a wonderful sport for keeping people of all ages active. It can have a positive effect on the physical and mental wellbeing of players and is open to players of all ages and abilities. By its very nature, tennis is an activity whereby close person-to-person contact can be avoided.
Based on recent Scottish Government guidance on coronavirus restrictions, Tennis Scotland & the LTA have developed a set of practical guidelines for clubs, coaches and players to follow so that tennis can be played in Scotland, where the local environment allows.
COVID-19
Please observe the club’s FULL CORONAVIRUS SAFE PLAY RULES (Click Here To Open Document)
The health and safety of our members and others is paramount at this time. We have introduced a set of new rules to help protect everyone whilst at the club.
Please READ the new rules before booking a court. Using the courts will be taken as your agreement to abide by these rules.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, or any member of your household displays symptoms, stay at home and follow NHS advice. Do not come to the club. If you are self-isolating you should not attend the club.
About the Tennis Club
We are a friendly and progressive Club with an active membership made up of players of all ages. Our four all-weather floodlit courts are ideal for all levels of player and are open 365 days a year. New members are always welcome.
The Club is a British Tennis Registered Venue and meets the LTA’s Minimum Safeguarding Standards.
Coaching
Our Head Coach, Gordon Watson, is a Level 4 Performance Coach with many years of tennis experience, both as a player and as a coach. He and his coaching team are LTA qualified and disclosure checked (PVG).
The coaching programme takes place in line with current Scottish Government and LTA / Tennis Scotland guidelines. Details of Summer Camps and coaching classes are posted on this website and our Facebook page. Classes can be booked on the Total Tennis App.
Coaching takes place outdoors in all weather, except when courts are very wet or slippery. Lessons are unlikely to be cancelled and appropriate clothing for the conditions is therefore essential. Players should bring water to all lessons.
For further information contact Gordon by clicking on the 'Contact Tennis Coach' button in right-hand column.
